If you wish to apply for a visa as a visitor for medical treatment and need to know the conditions applied to the visa, it is necessary to look at two visas:
- Visa subclass 675 is for short-term visits for up to three months;
- Visa subclass 685 is for visits of more than three months.
Medical visit visas are usually given on the basis that an arrangement to receive medical treatment or medical consultation in Australia has been made.
There are some conditions that are to be met before a visa of this kind can be issued. These conditions include providing evidence that you have sufficient money to support yourself and anyone accompanying you during the visit.
