This type of visa is for people whose profession is related with appearing and regularly making speeches in public, as against people working for a university or institution with the intention to pursue that profession, more often than not in reply to an invitation from an organisation in Australia.
This visa allows you to stay for a maximum of two years or for the duration of the schedule of your appearances.
You are give full work rights on the condition that you must not:
- cease working for the company who supported you for the visa,
- work in a position or occupation that is in conflict with your position, and
- work for a different organisation or independently while employed for the organisation/company that sponsored you.
If your stay in Australia is for three months or less, you must present a letter of request from that person or organisation that invited you to lecture in public.
If your stay in Australia is for more than three months, the person or organisation must apply for sponsorship.
A firm schedule of travel with full details of the program must be provided when applying for this visa.
