To apply for a Distinguished Talent Migration Visa, all visa applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have an internationally-recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in their profession, the arts, sport or research or academia and they must still be prominent in the profession, the arts, sport, research or academia.
The visa applicant must be a potential asset to the Australian community and the applicant must show that he or she will have no difficulty in obtaining or establishing himself or herself in the community.
This Australian visa is a permanent resident visa. It is difficult to meet the requirements for this visa and relatively few are awarded each year.
All applicants under this Australian visa category must be nominated by a permanent resident or Australian citizen or an Australian organisation in their field of endeavour that is nationally recognised.
