Working Holiday Visas to Australia are granted to young people to travel, see Australia and take an extended holiday for up to twelve months. To defray the costs of the holiday, short-term work is allowed.
Tens of thousands of young people travel to Australia or Australians travelling overseas travel under this arrangement.
The Working Holiday Program provides opportunities for people between 18 and 30 from listed nations to holiday in Australia. They may supplement their travel funds through employment. The visa allows a 12 month stay. It is valid from the date of first entry to Australia regardless of whether the visitor spends the whole time in Australia.
Candidates may do any kind of temporary or casual work. However, they may not work for more than three months with any one employer. Australia has working holiday reciprocal arrangements with the following countries:

- The Republic of Korea
- Malta
- Germany

Australia is negotiating arrangements with additional countries and the list will be updated when they come into effect.
