This student visa is in the Defence or AusAID category.
AusAID is called the Australian Agency for International Development, which provides scholarships for overseas students who lack adequate funding but wish to study in Australia. Sponsorship is accomplished through the Australian Department of Defence which supplies full or partial financial support.
Student applicants must provide evidence that their standard of education is at the level required by the education institute in which they plan to study, and the course must be conducted at a registered school.
There are no charges for this visa application, but students must present evidence that they have the capacity to pay for expenses not covered by the student scholarships to the Australian Immigration Department. This effectively means all expenses to cover any family members if included in the visa application.
